How Can You Renew Your Work Permit
Italian renewal is a postal procedure with one simple rule: file early, keep the receipt, and the system’s slowness becomes survivable.
When and Where
Post the renewal kit at Poste Italiane at least sixty days before the permit expires. The receipt (ricevuta) is your lawful-stay evidence while the Questura schedules biometrics and prints the card; queues are long, and the receipt is designed for exactly that.
What the File Contains
Passport, the current permit, the ongoing contract or recent payslips at the CCNL level, the tax code, accommodation evidence and the fee, with certified translations for anything issued abroad.
Same Employer, Different Employer
