For Mureș Employers
Mureș is the largest of the six Centru counties by area and has no motorway anywhere inside it, which is the single fact that shapes scheduling here. The freight is unusually varied: bulk fertiliser from the chemical platform at Târgu Mureș, fragile glass and ceramics from Sighișoara, wood panels from Reghin, electronics, footwear and temperature controlled pharmaceutical work. Employers publish a genuine vacancy, name the licence category and the atestat, and interview and hire for themselves.
Write it once, publish it yourself • Applicants contact you • Work permission guidance by separate agreement
Mureș pairs real industrial weight with a tight labour market and no motorway inside its boundaries. Driver demand is spread across four towns rather than gathered in the seat, which makes depot location a genuine recruitment variable.
Publish at www.fastdriver.eu/jobs/romania, naming categoria C+E or categoria C, stating whether the atestat profesional and a valid card tahograf are required from day one, saying intern or extern, and naming the trailer type, because bulk, fragile and reefer work are not interchangeable.
On what this is: a publishing channel for employers, not an intermediary. FastDriver.eu is neither a recruitment agency nor an agent de munca temporara, does not employ drivers, does not place them and takes nothing on a hire. The vacancy is yours, the choice is yours, the contract is yours.
A Mureș point worth having: because the county's road numbering could not be verified against the operator's own tables, the honest way to describe a corridor here is by the cities it joins, not by a number. More guidance sits on the Romania employer page.
Employers across Mureș recruit bulk and tipper drivers for the chemical platform, fragile palletised drivers for the glass and ceramics works, international categoria C+E drivers, rigid drivers on domestic round trips, and temperature controlled drivers for pharmaceutical distribution.
The fertiliser platform at Târgu Mureș is the county's largest single freight generator and was last reported running at half capacity while aiming at full, which points one way for outbound volume. Categoria C+E on bulk and tipper work. Whether ADR applies is for the employer to establish, not assume.
Glass and ceramics from Sighișoara are high value per pallet and unforgiving of rough handling, so this is careful categoria C+E or categoria C work rather than distance work. Strapping discipline, trailer loading order and delivery condition reporting are what an employer should be screening for here.
International categoria C+E and categoria B crew work is advertised heavily into this county, including by operators based outside it, which inflates the apparent local demand. Extended time away is the pattern. Quote the diurnă separately from basic salary and name the countries the routes actually cover.
A domestic rigid layer is visible across the county, including a seven and a half tonne role advertised at Târnăveni and round trip categoria C+E work from the seat. Driver home nightly or near enough. These roles suit candidates who will not take extended international rotations.
Pharmaceutical production at Târgu Mureș puts temperature controlled and high security distribution into the county's mix. Categoria C or categoria B, intern, with cold chain records, seal integrity and delivery paperwork mattering more than vehicle size. Say in the advert which standards the round is run to.
Because demand sits in four separate towns, an advert that does not say where the vehicle is kept will be read as being in the seat. Name the town, and name the trailer, since the skills genuinely differ between the county's loads.
Mureș is the biggest of these six counties and sits between two networks it cannot use: the motorway system to the north west stops short of the county boundary, and the counties to the east and south have no motorway either. Everything here runs on ordinary roads.
Târgu Mureș carries most of the driver demand, with Reghin, Târnăveni and Sighișoara each generating a meaningful share. That spread mirrors where the industry is, which suggests genuine local hiring rather than campaigns tagged to a county.
The A10 ends at Turda, outside this county in Cluj, so the nearest motorway access for a Mureș operator is a drive away before the run even begins. That is a real cost in hours on every westbound load.
The county's main corridors are best described by what they join: Brașov through Sighișoara to Târgu Mureș, and Târgu Mureș through Reghin towards the north east. Chirileu and Vidrasău also appear as working locations.
Târgu Mureș airport sits south west of the city at Vidrasău. No cargo operation or freight tonnage is documented there and passenger numbers fell by more than a quarter in the latest year reported, so it is no basis for assuming air freight work.
Driver work differs sharply between the capital ring, the Black Sea port, the western gateway counties and the eastern border. Open another county to see the hiring information that applies there.
Romanian drivers search in Romanian. An advert written only in English will miss most of the domestic market.
Sofer profesionist is the dominant advert title. Sofer TIR signals international work and is read that way immediately. Sofer camion and sofer de distributie name the vehicle and the job. Conducator auto is the formal register that appears in documents and regulations rather than in adverts.
Intern or extern is the first thing a Romanian driver looks for, because it decides whether they are home each night or away for weeks. Put it in the headline. An advert that leaves it out collects applications from people who withdraw once they find out.
Pe comunitate is the phrase that signals the well paid international segment. It is worth using where it is true, and worth avoiding where it is not, because drivers treat it as a promise about earnings.
Write the licence as C+E. That form appears far more often in real adverts than CE, by a wide margin, and writing it the other way marks an advert as drafted by someone outside the trade.
The qualification is the atestat profesional, for marfa or for persoane. Adverts list it alongside the card tahograf and ADR where the load requires it. Name only what the role genuinely needs.
Pay needs two numbers, not one. Salary and diurna are quoted separately in Romanian adverts, and for international work the daily allowance is a very large part of what a driver actually takes home. An advert that gives only the salary reads as badly paid even when it is not.
Romanian drivers read an advert for the route, the vehicle, the time away and the two pay figures. An advert that answers those four things gets better applications than one that lists benefits.
FastDriver.eu operates as a European driver job portal and allows candidates elsewhere in Europe and in eligible international markets to find and apply for suitable Romanian vacancies.
Start by ignoring most of what is published about this, because the system changed. The separate work permit that employers used to apply for has been abolished and replaced by a single application filed on a state platform. The old route was switched off months before the new platform opened, so guidance written before the change is not just dated, it describes a procedure that no longer exists.
Drivers sit on the shortage occupations list, which is the gate for the main employment route. For a haulier that is genuinely good news and it is the part of the system working in your favour.
The real barrier is not the paperwork. Filing directly requires a trading history, an average headcount above a published threshold and a financial guarantee for each worker. Most Romanian hauliers sit below that headcount, which means they cannot file at all and must go through a licensed placement agency instead. Check which side of that line your company falls on before you plan anything else, because it changes the whole approach.
The annual quota is a single national figure rather than a transport allocation, and it was cut rather than raised. A large share of it is consumed well before the year ends, so an application late in the cycle competes for what is left.
Employers in Mureș may receive applications from drivers based in Romania, elsewhere in the EU and EEA, Switzerland, the wider European region, Asia, Africa, Gulf countries, North America, Latin America and other eligible international markets.
EU, EEA and Swiss citizens may work in Romania without an authorisation. A Moldovan national holding Romanian citizenship is an EU citizen and needs nothing, while one without it faces full external border checks, because the Romanian border with Moldova is now a Schengen external frontier. The difference is large and it is worth establishing early in a conversation rather than late.
The employment contract has to reach the national register before the driver starts work, not afterwards. The register changed name and platform recently, and the penalties for undeclared work are severe with a high ceiling, so this is not a formality to leave until the first week.
A candidate's ability to work here depends on nationality, residence status, professional qualifications, driving licence validity and the requirements of the individual position. Nationality alone never settles it. Drivers can check their own position through our driving licence eligibility guidance.
FastDriver.eu can provide process guidance and document coordination when a candidate needs support. It does not make government decisions and cannot promise an approval.
Name the licence category in the advert. A Romanian driver reads it first, and C+E in the headline tells them immediately whether the job is theirs.
Freight work uses C and C+E, with C1 and C1E for lighter rigid vehicles. Passenger transport uses D and D1.
Age limits matter when you are planning a pipeline. C1 and C1E open at eighteen, C and C+E at twenty one and reduce to eighteen for a driver holding the professional qualification. D and DE open at twenty four and reduce to twenty one on the same basis. Heavy categories run five years.
Romania asks for something most member states do not. A professional driver needs an annual medical check and an annual psychological check, and the psychological opinion is also part of the file for exchanging a foreign licence. Employers arriving from elsewhere in the EU are regularly caught out by it.
The atestat profesional is issued by the national road authority, separately for goods and for passengers, and renewed every five years. A shorter conversion route exists for a driver moving between the two, so an experienced goods driver is not starting again to work on passenger transport.
Foreign licences need checking before you make an offer. EU and EEA licences exchange without a test. Beyond that it depends on whether the issuing country appears on the convention or reciprocity lists, and where it does not the driver sits the Romanian theory and practical examination, which they may now do without compulsory driving school.
Several of the countries Romanian hauliers recruit from most heavily could not be found on those exchange lists. That is not a conclusion that they are absent, but it does mean the question has to be settled for the specific country before a contract is signed, not assumed.
A professional qualification obtained outside the EU or EEA is not recognised here. An experienced driver arriving from outside Europe takes the Romanian qualification whatever they held before.
This is where the real timeline lives, and it is longer than most employers expect. The driver attestation that a Romanian operator needs in order to put a third country national on international work requires a Romanian licence and the professional qualification. A newly arrived driver has neither. The tachograph card also requires the work authorisation first. So the sequence is admission, then licence, then qualification, then attestation, and an employer who budgets only for the visa will be short by months.
One thing works in your favour. The professional examinations have been made available in English, which was done specifically to serve drivers recruited from South and South East Asia, so the qualification stage no longer requires Romanian first.
Unlike several other member states, the forklift authorisation in Romania is a genuine state authorisation issued to the individual rather than a permission the employer grants. ADR is required where the load needs it. Verifying the original documents remains the employer's responsibility.

Employers in Mureș can use FastDriver.eu to find drivers, advertise genuine vacancies and receive applications through a specialised European driver job portal.
The employer starts by submitting company details, work location, driver category, required licence, number of vacancies, experience level, working schedule, pay information and proposed start date.
The vacancy can then be prepared and promoted to relevant drivers through the platform, alongside the current driver vacancies already open.
Candidates apply for suitable positions. The employer reviews their information, conducts interviews and makes the final hiring decision.
FastDriver.eu does not become the employer. It does not replace the company's legal responsibility for candidate verification, employment contracts, remuneration or working conditions.
Employers that can consider international drivers should clearly state whether work authorisation guidance, visa process support, accommodation or relocation assistance is available.
This information must reflect the employer's actual offer. It must not be added only for search visibility.
Tell us how many drivers you need, the base or town they work from, the licence category, experience, routes, language requirements and proposed employment conditions.
Our team reviews your company details and checks that the vacancy contains what a Romanian driver needs in order to apply with confidence, including the category, whether the work is intern or extern, the atestat position, and salary and diurna stated separately.
The vacancy is prepared, published and promoted according to the selected employer option.
Drivers apply through the platform. The employer reviews applications, communicates with suitable candidates and arranges interviews.
The employer makes the final hiring decision, verifies the candidate and signs the employment contract directly with the selected driver.
When separately agreed, FastDriver.eu may provide immigration process guidance, document coordination and relocation preparation for eligible international candidates.
Complete and accurate information helps drivers understand the opportunity and allows the platform team to publish the vacancy correctly.
Do not request unrelated information.
FastDriver.eu provides the digital platform and any separately agreed support services.
The employer is responsible for confirming the vacancy, independently verifying each selected candidate, checking licence categories and the atestat position, and meeting all Romanian employment obligations.
FastDriver.eu does not issue government approvals.
FastDriver.eu cannot guarantee applications, candidate availability, candidate suitability, interview attendance, hiring, work authorisation approval, visa approval, licence recognition, processing time or continued employment.
All vacancies must be genuine, current, lawful and accurate.
Employers must not request unlawful recruitment or application payments from candidates.
A narrow one by design. You post the driver vacancy, andd drivers looking for work in this county see it and apply. Nobody filters the replies; there is no candidate database, and you're not charged when you hire. Where a candidate needs permission to work, process guidance is available under a separate agreement.
It is not, nor is it an agent de munca temporara; in Romania, those are distinct, regulated roles rather than loose descriptions. This portal employs no drivers, hires none out and never becomes a party to your contract. After publication, the employer handles everything, from reading applications to signing.
It is spread rather than concentrated. Târgu Mureș carries the clear majority of adverts, but Reghin, Târnăveni and Sighișoara each produce a real share, matching where the county’s factories sit. Note also that the advert count comesfrom aa full-time-filteredview, so it is a floor rather than a total for the county.
Not one kilometre of it. Itis the largest county of the six by area, with more than thirty companies employing over three hundred people at the time of the most recent ranking, yet ithhasno motorway at all. The nearest motorway access lies beyond the county boundary to the northwest, adding hours to every westbound load.
The fertiliser platform at Târgu Mureș. When last reported, it had around a thousand direct employees and about two and a half thousand people on site, including subcontractors. It was operating at roughly half capacity while targeting full production. A plant of that scale moving towards capacity implies a proportionate rise in outbound bulk volume.
The best available county employer ranking is some years old, so treat it as who exists and where rather than as current size. It names Delgaz Grid, Azomureș, Aquaserv, Gedeon Richter and SEA Complet at Târgu Mureș, Cesiro and GST Automotive Safety at Sighișoara, Kastamonu at Reghin, Hirschmann at Chirileu, and Kraft Logistic at Sighișoara in logistics.
An unusually wide one for a single county. Bulk and tipper work for fertiliser; fragile palletised work for glass and ceramics; timber and panel work out of Reghin; temperature-controlled and high-security work for pharmaceuticals; and general palletised work for electronics and footwear. Few Romanian counties offer that spread within their own boundaries.
Tight, and consistently tight. Registered unemployment here is the joint lowest of the six Centru counties and has held roughly that position for years. The county offers neither the slack found in Covasna nor the pay levels found in Sibiu, so employers compete directly with established local industry for the same people.
Not in any documented way. It has no cargo operations, no published freight tonnage, and its passenger traffic fell by more than a quarter in the most recently reported year. Nothing supports presenting it as a freight asset, so an employer should not build either a recruitment case or a schedule around it.
Because they couldn't be verified, the road operator’s county tables were unreachable, and the two corridors that matter most here are precisely the ones that went unconfirmed. Naming a corridor by the cities it joins is accurate and useful; publishing an unverified number is neither, and an employer planning a route should confirm it against the operator.
As two separate figures, the basic salary is one thing and the diurnă for days abroad is anot. Thethe allowance makes up a very large share of what a Romanian international driver takes home. Collapsing both into a single monthly salary makes the role look like domestic work. This page carries no amounts, but the format is what candidates compare.
A single application lodged through a new state platform. The aviz was abolished, and the replacement opened months later, so there was an interval when no route worked at all. An employer in Mureș should assume any third-party guidance still framed around an aviz is out of date and verify processing expectations before offering a post.
Lorry and bus driver occupations are listed, which opens the main employment route, a genuine advantage over occupations that aren't. It reserves nothing, though. The annual quota is one national figure covering all sectors, it was reduced rather than raised, and a large part of it is used well before the year ends.
Eighteen for C and CE when the driver holds the professional qualification, twenty-one without it, and eighteen in any case for C1 and C1E. Passenger categories run from t24 to t21 with the qualification. Screening at twenty-one quietly excludes a cohort Romanian training providers have been producing for years.
A professional driver must hold an annual medical opinion and an annual psychological opinion, both renewed every year. Employers from other member states do not expect the psychological requirement, and it also forms part of the file for exchanging a foreign licence. Neither can be produced after the event, so build both into the start date.
The day before work begins, which employers most often get wrong because it falls before the first shift rather than after. The national employee register recently changed its name and platform, so older checklists point to a system that no longer runs. Penalties for undeclared work are heavy and capped at a high cumulative ceiling.
Bulk fertiliser, fragile palletised loads, wood panels, reefer pharmaceutical work or domestic round trips: name the town, the category, the atestat and the trailer, and let drivers across Mureș come to you.
Across Mureș the employer recruits, selects and employs the driver; FastDriver.eu carries the advert and no more.
