For Kanta-Häme Employers
Kanta-Häme sits on the Helsinki to Tampere spine and its signature driver work is food distribution: temperature controlled vehicles, early starts and several drops a shift into retail, with general cargo combination work behind it. It is also one of only two Finnish regions whose work permit guideline currently lists lorry and special vehicle drivers, which removes a step when you recruit from outside the EU. Publish your vacancy on FastDriver.eu and the applications reach you directly.

Three towns and three separate labour markets. Hämeenlinna is industry and services, Riihimäki is trade and construction at the rail junction, and Forssa is food and metal, off the corridor on Vt2 and Vt10. Manufacturing carries a larger share of jobs here than nationally.
Set out the category, C-kortti or CE-kortti, say whether ammattipätevyys and a kuljettajakortti must be valid on day one, and put the town in the headline rather than the region. Live Finnish vacancies are at www.fastdriver.eu/jobs/finland.
FastDriver.eu advertises driver jobs. It is not a recruitment agency, it is not a temporary employment agency, it does not employ drivers and it does not supply labour to companies. Applicants deal with your business from the first message onwards.
One thing employers miss: this region trains drivers in all three sub-regions, at Ammattiopisto Tavastia, Hyria and Forssan ammatti-instituutti, so a trainee pipeline can sit beside your own depot instead of an hour away across the region. The rest of the national detail sits on the Finland employer page.
Employers here recruit food distribution drivers, general cargo combination drivers, waste collection drivers, earthmoving operators and warehouse based materials handling staff.
Elintarvikejakelu work in C-kortti is the region's most advertised driver role, running out of Riihimäki, Hämeenlinna and the Forssa area. Expect early starts, temperature controlled bodies and retail premises with tight delivery slots, and say all three in the advert.
Heavier food work in CE-kortti moves between plants, cold stores and regional depots. State the trailer type, whether the driver handles the load or only the vehicle, and how the shift interacts with the customer's receiving hours.
Kappaletavara runs on combination vehicles are the second strand of the local market, with mixed loading and less repetitive routing than food work. Name the terminal, the daily distance and whether the driver returns to the same base each night.
Refuse and recycling rounds are recruited at Hämeenlinna. The appeal is a stable route, local hours and no nights away, which suits drivers leaving distance work, so state the round area and the start time rather than just the licence.
Earthmoving is recruited around Janakkala, and manufacturers in the region take on reach truck and warehouse operators. Machine competence sits separately from the driving licence, so list the equipment and note that a forklift needs a written permit from you.
Say which town the vehicle is based in. Forssa and Riihimäki are an hour apart in opposite directions from the corridor, and a regional job title tells a candidate in either of them nothing useful.
Kanta-Häme lies between Helsinki and Tampere, with Vt3 and the main railway running the length of it. Both cities are about an hour away, and Forssa sits to the west of that corridor on its own roads.
Hämeenlinna is the regional seat and the Vt3 and Vt10 road node. It is also the only municipality in the region still growing, and it grows through immigration, which makes it the most practical settlement point for a driver arriving from abroad.
Riihimäki is the junction where the main railway divides towards Tampere on one side and Lahti and Kouvola on the other. Very little domestic freight between southern Finland and either direction avoids passing through it.
Forssa is a separate labour market on Vt2 and Vt10, with the region's highest unemployment and correspondingly less competition for candidates. Janakkala and Hattula sit along the corridor between the two larger towns.
Do not treat the small municipalities as spare capacity. Hattula, Hausjärvi, Loppi and Tammela all have low unemployment, so few drivers there are actively looking whatever the regional figure suggests.
Driver work differs sharply between the capital region, the industrial coast, the eastern border regions and the far north. Open another region to see the hiring information that applies there.
Finnish drivers search in Finnish. An advert written only in English will miss most of the domestic market, and Swedish matters on the west coast and on the islands.
Kuorma-autonkuljettaja is the standard lorry title and linja-autonkuljettaja the bus one. Yhdistelmaajoneuvonkuljettaja covers combination vehicle work, and taysperavaununkuljettaja and puoliperavaununkuljettaja appear where the trailer type is the point.
Distribution work is written as jakelukuljettaja, or as the base title with the work attached, as in elintarvikejakeluun, kappaletavarajakeluun or yojakeluun. CE-kuljettaja is used as a job title in its own right.
Write the licence as C-kortti, CE-kortti or D-kortti. The formal C-luokka form is correct but adverts do not use it, and Finnish employers usually put the category in the headline in brackets rather than burying it in the body.
Ammattipatevyys is the professional competence, carried as code 95. Name it only where the role genuinely needs it.
One term catches employers out. Kuljettajakortti in a Finnish advert means the digital tachograph card, not the competence card, which is the ammattipatevyyskortti. The two are listed separately in real adverts and confusing them will mislead candidates.
Pay is routinely stated as AKT TES mukainen, meaning according to the collective agreement. Adverts also list ADR-kortti and trukkikortti where the work requires them, and tyoturvallisuuskortti is common across logistics roles.
A practical approach is a Finnish advert naming the category and the ammattipatevyys position, with an English version when you also want candidates from outside Finland.
FastDriver.eu operates as a European driver job portal and allows candidates elsewhere in Europe and in eligible international markets to find and apply for suitable Finnish vacancies.
The Finnish Immigration Service, Migri, now decides these applications on its own. The separate labour market decision that the employment office used to issue no longer exists. The driver applies, and the employer then supplements the application with the terms of employment through Enter Finland for Employers.
Two figures shape the offer you can make. The gross salary must reach the published monthly minimum for an employed person, currently 1,600 euros, and supplements such as evening and night work do not count towards it. Driver pay is often built from a base plus supplements, so check the base alone clears the threshold before you advertise.
An employer recruiting a driver from outside the EU or EEA normally has to post the job on Job Market Finland for two weeks, on the same terms as the permit application, before anything is filed. That step does not apply in this region. The work permit guideline of Sisä-Suomen elinvoimakeskus, which covers Kanta-Häme together with Pirkanmaa, currently names lorry and special vehicle drivers, ISCO 8332, among the occupations where labour is regarded as hard to find, and Migri applies that list instead of requiring a labour market test. These are the only two Finnish regions where the occupation currently appears. The lists are rewritten every six months and occupations do come off them, so read the current version at elinvoimakeskus.fi/tyolupalinjaus before you rely on it for a start date.
Employers here may receive applications from drivers based in Finland, elsewhere in the EU and EEA, Switzerland, the wider European region, Asia, Africa, Gulf countries, North America, Latin America and other eligible international markets.
EU, EEA and Swiss citizens may work in Finland without a permit, though a right of residence registration applies beyond three months. Nordic citizens register with the Digital and Population Data Services Agency instead. Licence validity and professional competence requirements still apply to all of them.
Where a Finnish goods operator employs a driver who is a third country national, a driver attestation from Traficom, the kuljettajatodistus, is also required. The operator gives the original to the driver to carry, keeps certified copies and returns it when the employment ends.
A candidate's ability to work here depends on nationality, residence status, professional qualifications, driving licence validity and the requirements of the individual position. Nationality alone never settles it. Drivers can check their own position through our driving licence eligibility guidance.
FastDriver.eu can provide process guidance and document coordination when a candidate needs support. It does not make government decisions and cannot promise an approval.
Name the licence category in the advert. It is the first thing a Finnish driver looks for, and it belongs in the headline.
Freight work uses C and CE, with C1 and C1E for lighter rigid vehicles. Passenger transport uses D and D1. Van and courier roles sit in category B.
Age limits matter when you are planning a pipeline. C and CE open at twenty one, or at eighteen where the driver holds the full professional competence. D opens at twenty four, reduced to twenty three, twenty one or eighteen depending on the qualification held.
Professional drivers in the C and D categories need ammattipatevyys, shown as code 95 on the licence. The initial qualification runs two hundred and eighty hours, or one hundred and forty on the accelerated route by age band, and periodic training runs thirty five hours every five years.
One point widens your field considerably. A driver who already holds competence in one branch can add the other with a thirty five or seventy hour course rather than repeating the initial qualification. That is the route to move an experienced lorry driver into bus work, or the reverse, though it does not by itself grant the licence category.
Foreign licences need care. An EU or EEA licence is valid in Finland while it remains valid. A licence from a contracting state can be exchanged, but a lorry or bus category always requires the full Finnish driving examination, theory and practical. Licences from other recognised states require an examination for every category.
A professional competence obtained outside the EU or EEA is not recognised in Finland. An experienced driver arriving from outside Europe will need the Finnish qualification, or one issued by another EU or EEA state, before they can do the work. Budget realistic time for that rather than discovering it after an offer.
A driver card for the digital tachograph is required on in scope work, and ADR training where the load needs it. A medical certificate applies to the heavy categories and renews more often with age. Say which of these the role actually needs, and remember that verifying the original documents remains the employer's responsibility.

Employers in Kanta-Häme can use FastDriver.eu to find drivers, advertise genuine vacancies and receive applications through a specialised European driver job portal.
The employer starts by submitting company details, work location, driver category, required licence, number of vacancies, experience level, working schedule, salary information and proposed start date.
The vacancy can then be prepared and promoted to relevant drivers through the platform, alongside the current driver vacancies already open.
Candidates apply for suitable positions. The employer reviews their information, conducts interviews and makes the final hiring decision.
FastDriver.eu does not become the employer. It does not replace the company's legal responsibility for candidate verification, employment contracts, remuneration or working conditions.
Employers that can consider international drivers should clearly state whether work authorisation guidance, visa process support, accommodation or relocation assistance is available.
This information must reflect the employer's actual offer. It must not be added only for search visibility.
Tell us how many drivers you need, the depot or town they work from, the licence category, experience, routes, language requirements and proposed employment conditions.
Our team reviews your company details and checks that the vacancy contains what a Finnish driver needs in order to apply with confidence, including the category, the ammattipatevyys position and the shift.
The vacancy is prepared, published and promoted according to the selected employer option.
Drivers apply through the platform. The employer reviews applications, communicates with suitable candidates and arranges interviews.
The employer makes the final hiring decision, verifies the candidate and signs the employment contract directly with the selected driver.
When separately agreed, FastDriver.eu may provide immigration process guidance, document coordination and relocation preparation for eligible international candidates.
Complete and accurate information helps drivers understand the opportunity and allows the platform team to publish the vacancy correctly.
Do not request unrelated information.
FastDriver.eu provides the digital platform and any separately agreed support services.
The employer is responsible for confirming the vacancy, independently verifying each selected candidate, checking driving licences and the ammattipatevyys position, and meeting all Finnish employment obligations.
FastDriver.eu does not issue government approvals.
FastDriver.eu cannot guarantee applications, candidate availability, candidate suitability, interview attendance, hiring, work authorisation approval, visa approval, licence recognition, processing time or continued employment.
All vacancies must be genuine, current, lawful and accurate.
Employers must not request unlawful recruitment or application payments from candidates.
It is a job portal built for driver vacancies. You publish the post; it is shown to drivers in this region, elsewhere in Finland, across Europe and in eligible international markets, and the applications come to your company. You decide who to interview and who to employ. No one screens candidates before you see them.
It is not. FastDriver.eu is a portal, not a recruitment agency and not a temporary employment agency. It does not employ drivers, and it does not supply workers under hire to anyone. Your company writes the contract, pays the wages, and carries the employer’s obligations for the driver from the first shift.
Legally operating hauliers, food and general cargo distributors, manufacturers with their own vehicles, waste and recycling contractors, earthmoving and plant businesses, warehouse operators and licensed passenger transport companies. The vacancy must be real, and the terms must be the ones you intend to honour, since applicants deal withyouu, not an intermediary.
Yes, as long as the occupation remains listed. Lorry and special vehicle drivers, ISCO 8332, appear in the work permit guideline of Sisä-Suomen elinvoimakeskus, which covers this.
It removes an entire step rather than shortening one. In most of Finland, an employer must advertise the post publicly for two weeks on the same terms before submitting the permit application, which must happen before Migri even begins. Here, you submit the application directly. The guideline is reviewed every six months, so confirm it still stands before you commit to a start date.
Because the connection works in both directions, this region has the highestcommuting rateg in Finland and the lowest job self-sufficiency of any Finnish region, somucht of the workforce already travels to work. Helsinki lies an hour south and Tampere an hour north, and your vacancy is compared against employers in both.
Several, and the difference is large enough to change where you advertise. Unemployment has run near 15 per cent in Forssa, while it has been below 9 per cent in Hattula, Hausjärvi, Loppi, and Tammela. Forssa offers the most available candidates and the leastcompetition;n the small municipalities offer very few people actively looking, and Riihimäki candidates have the most options.
Food distribution, clearly. Vacancies appear in Riihimäki, Hämeenlinna, and the Forssa area, which is a clear pattern in an eleven-municipality region and matches food production as one of the dominant manufacturing sectors. Behind it sits kappaletavara combination work. There is far less plant and excavator driving than in Pirkanmaa or Päijät-Häme.
It is where the main railway splits: one branch runs north to Tampere and the other east to Lahti and Kouvola, and Vt3 runs alongside. The region carries no international transit, but it carries an exceptional share of domestic through traffic, which is why terminal and general cargo work concentrates near that junction.
Hämeenlinna is the practical answer. It is the only municipality in the region still growing; its growth comes from immigration; it holds the regional services; and it sits on both Vt3 and the main line, so onward travel is easy for a household without two cars. Say in the advert what help with housing you can offer.
Ammattiopisto Tavastia at Hämeenlinna, Hyria at Riihimäki and Forssan ammatti-instituutti at Forssa all run the logistiikan perustutkinto with transport pathways. That is the densest training coverage of any region in this part of Finland relative to population, and it means Forssa, with the weakest job market, has its own route into driving work.
Put C-kortti or CE-kortti in the headline, then list ammattipätevyys and kuljettajakortti separately underneath. In Finnish usage, the latter means the digital tachograph card, not the competence card (ammattipätevyyskortti). Saying which must be valid on day one and which you will fund prevents most wasted interviews.
You can, with the recognition rules in mind. An EU or EEA licence is valid while valid. A licence from a contracting state may be exchanged. Still, a lorry or bus category always requires the full Finnish driving examination, and other recognised states require an examination per category. Professional competence obtained outside the EU or EEA is not recognised here.
Migri decides the residence permit for an employed person, and the employer supplies the terms of employment. The gross minimum is based on base pay, excluding evening and night supplements, which matters in food distribution where early and late work is normal. A Finnish goods operator employing a third-country national driver also needs a driver attestation from Traficom.
You do, throughout. Reviewing applications, interviewing, inspecting original documents, confirming the right to work, and signing the contract are all the employer’s responsibility,, and none of themtransfersrs to a portal. FastDriver.eu can help coordinate documents under a separate agreement, but does not make decisions; decision-making belongs to an authority or your company.
We do not promise applications, candidate availability, suitability, attendance at interview, a hire, a permit or visa approval, licence or qualification recognition, a processing time, or that a driver will stay. The listing advantage described on this page is a real regional fact, not a guarantee of any decision, and it can change when the guideline is next reviewed.
Advertise your Kanta-Häme driver vacancy and reach candidates in Hämeenlinna, Riihimäki and Forssa, elsewhere in Finland, in Europe and in eligible international markets. Name the town, the vehicle and the start time, and read every reply yourself.
Every hiring decision here is made by the Kanta-Häme employer, not by FastDriver.eu.
