Long Distance and Heavy Goods Drivers
Post vacancies for autista and camionista roles with patente C or CE, covering national trunking and international work over the Alpine passes towards France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia.
For Italian Employers
Publish your driver vacancies on FastDriver.eu, reach candidates across the Italian regions, elsewhere in Europe and in eligible international markets, and manage applications yourself. Italy admits third country workers through a quota system with fixed application windows, and we can assist with documentation and relocation coordination under a separate agreement.
Direct employer hiring • European and international reach • Quota and relocation guidance when required
FastDriver.eu connects Italian hauliers, forwarding companies, port logistics operators, bus companies and delivery businesses with drivers looking for work.
Publish a genuine vacancy, state the licence category and the CQC position, describe the routes, and receive applications directly. The CQC matters more than employers sometimes expect, because it affects what kind of contract you can offer an incoming driver. Browse current Italian listings at www.fastdriver.eu/jobs/italy.
FastDriver.eu is a specialised driver job portal. It is not a recruitment agency or an agency for the supply of labour, it does not employ drivers and it does not lease workers.
Your company reviews the applications, interviews the candidates, inspects the original licence and CQC documents, and signs the employment contract under the applicable national collective agreement. The hiring decision stays with you.
Italian employers recruit across long distance haulage, port drayage, regional distribution and passenger transport. State the licence category and the CQC requirement, and name the region so candidates can judge the base.

Advertise for drivers working container drayage and terminal shuttles at Genoa, Trieste, La Spezia, Livorno, Naples and Gioia Tauro, work that runs to terminal slot times.
Publish roles for autista di autobus and conducente on urban networks, regional lines, school transport and the tourism coach work concentrated in the art cities and the coast.
Advertise autista consegne, corriere and fattorino positions in parcel networks, food distribution and urban logistics, where limited traffic zone rules shape vehicle choice.
Reach autista ADR, cisterna, betoniera and eccezionale drivers for chemical and fuel distribution, construction supply and oversized cargo.
Use a job title only where it genuinely matches the role. Unrelated titles added for traffic produce applications you will only reject.
Italy is divided into twenty regions. Freight is concentrated heavily in the north, while the ports of the centre and south handle traffic that reaches far up the peninsula.
Genoa, Trieste, La Spezia, Livorno, Naples and Gioia Tauro generate container drayage and long distance hinterland haulage.
The Brenner and the western Alpine crossings carry heavy international traffic, and restrictions on those routes affect scheduling and driver hours.
Industrial districts across the north generate scheduled component and finished goods transport, much of it running to fixed delivery windows.
Inland freight terminals around Verona, Bologna, Padua and Novara combine road work with rail transfer, and cluster distribution employment around them.
Each region has a distinct transport profile. Naming it, and the nearest city, helps candidates judge the commute and the type of work.
Italian drivers search in Italian and pair the job title with the licence, which is written as patente C or patente CE.
Autista is the general term and appears in most adverts. Camionista is what long distance drivers call themselves, and conducente is the more formal word used for passenger transport.
Candidates almost always include CQC in their searches and profiles, since without it they cannot take professional driving work at all.
Delivery roles use autista consegne, corriere and fattorino, and the last of these implies lighter urban work rather than distribution.
Specialist searches include autista ADR, autista cisterna and trasporto eccezionale, generally used by drivers who already hold the relevant endorsement.
Publish in Italian for the domestic market and add an English version where you are open to candidates from elsewhere. Naming the licence and the CQC position in the title does most of the filtering for you.
FastDriver.eu operates as a European driver job portal and allows candidates in other parts of the world to discover and apply for suitable Italian vacancies.
Italian employers may receive applications from drivers based in Italy, other EU and EEA countries, Switzerland, the wider European region, Asia, Africa, Gulf countries, North America, Latin America, the Caribbean and other eligible international markets.
EU and EEA citizens and Swiss nationals may work in Italy without authorisation, registering residence for longer stays. Licence and CQC requirements still apply.
For third country nationals entry runs through the quota system. The government sets the numbers by sector and category and publishes the application windows, and the employer files for the work clearance through the one-stop desk portal within those windows.
Three points shape planning. Each private employer may file only a limited number of applications, the employment centre must first be asked to verify that no suitable worker is already available in Italy, and haulage firms must be properly entered in the national electronic register and, for work on behalf of third parties, the hauliers' register. Drivers can check their own position through our driving licence eligibility guidance.
FastDriver.eu can provide process guidance and document coordination when a candidate needs support. It does not make government decisions and cannot promise an approval.
State the licence category and the CQC position together. In Italy the second one has contractual consequences.
Freight roles use C and CE, with C1 and C1E for lighter rigid vehicles. Passenger transport uses D and D1, with DE and D1E where a trailer is drawn. Delivery work sits in category B.
Professional drivers need the CQC, the driver qualification card, which corresponds to code 95 and is renewed through periodic training every five years. It is issued separately for goods and for passenger transport.
The point employers most often miss is that where an incoming driver does not yet hold the CQC, the contract that can be offered is limited to a fixed term. Establish the candidate's CQC position before you decide what to offer, not afterwards.
A digital tachograph driver card is required for in scope work and ADR training for dangerous goods. Where a third country national drives for an Italian operator on international journeys within the Union, a driver attestation may also be needed.
Experience requirements are set by operators. Port drayage looks for container handling and terminal familiarity, Alpine work for confidence on mountain routes in winter. FastDriver.eu can present candidate information, but verifying original documents remains the employer's responsibility.
Publish driver vacancies in Italian or English with the licence category, CQC position and route type set out clearly.
Raise the visibility of roles that are slow to fill, including port and Alpine work.
Applications reach your team directly, with no agency between you and the driver.
Support in reaching drivers who match your licence and route requirements, without any promise of a specific candidate.
Guidance on the quota route, the application windows and the documents the one-stop desk filing normally involves.
Coordination of travel, arrival, residence contract and permit application steps when an international candidate is hired.
Employer options can be arranged around single vacancies, seasonal peaks or larger recruitment rounds, and are agreed separately with your company.
Precise adverts fill faster. Italian drivers check the licence, the CQC and the contract level before anything else.
Give the company name, the region and the site the driver reports to, and say whether the work is regional, national or international.
State the vehicle type and licence category, whether the CQC is required at the start, and whether ADR or another endorsement applies.
Say how many drivers you need and what experience you expect, particularly for port or mountain routes.
Describe the schedule honestly, including nights away, and set out pay and level under the applicable national collective agreement.
Confirm the start date, and say whether you would consider candidates entering under the quota system, allowing for the application windows.
Your company sets and honours the final employment terms.
Tell us the role, the region, the licence category and how many drivers you need.
The vacancy goes live in Italian, English or both, and is promoted to relevant candidates.
Applications arrive directly for your team to assess.
You interview, inspect the original licence and CQC, and confirm route experience.
Your company issues the employment contract under the applicable national collective agreement.
Where the quota route is used, the employment centre check, the one-stop desk filing, the visa and the residence contract follow. Support can be agreed separately.
Work through these before publishing. The CQC and the quota windows are what most often derail an Italian driver hire.
The Italian employer is responsible for the following.
The employer files the clearance application, must be able to show the capacity to pay the agreed wage, and signs the residence contract with the driver at the one-stop desk shortly after entry. That contract covers accommodation and the cost of return travel, so treat it as a commitment rather than a formality.

International drivers can find and apply for Italian vacancies. Employment entry runs through the quota system, so the timing of your hire depends on the published application windows.
The government sets the number of third-country workers to be admitted, broken down by sector and category, and publishes the dates on which employers may file. Applications are prepared in advance and submitted when the window opens.
A private employer may file only a limited number of applications in a given round, so prioritise the roles you most need to fill.
Yes. Before filing, you must ask the competent employment centre to verify that no suitable worker is already available in Italy. If no reply arrives within the short statutory period, the check will be considered negative, and you may proceed.
Yes. Firms must be entered in the national electronic register, and those carrying goods on behalf of third parties must also be on the hauliers’ register. Check that both are current before you file.
An agreement signed by the employer and worker at the one-stop desk shortly after the driver enters Italy. It covers accommodation and the cost of return travel, and it is a condition of the residence permit application.
Your company does. The platform may collect candidate information and assist with document coordination, but inspecting the originals is the employer’s responsibility.
There is no fixed timeline. It depends on the quota calendar, the one-stop desk assessment, the visa stage and your own process. The application windows are the main constraint.
Options depend on the number of vacancies, the promotion level and the support you need. Terms are agreed with your company in advance.
Submit the employer enquiry with your company details and driver requirements, or post the vacancy directly. Your team then reviews the applications and selects the driver.
